Carbs are always a good idea before a good workout because they give your muscles energy! Oats with added protein powder will give you short and long-term energy to beast through your workouts. More energy = better workout. Better workout = better results. NEVER train on an empty stomach!
Prep your body with my nutty recipe below!
ALL YOU NEED:
Heat water or milk over medium heat. Add oats and cook for 3 minutes until it starts to thicken. Add your protein powder and honey, mix until well combined.
Top with sliced protein bar, melted peanut butter, blueberries, and walnuts.
Note: The peanut butter will give you extra protein and potassium while the blueberries add vitamins and antioxidants!
The key to weight loss? 80% diet and nutrition and 20% exercise. You must take in less calories than you burn!
DID YOU KNOW:
In order to lose 1 pound, you would need to have a 3,500 calorie deficit. Burn 750 calories through exercise and cut 3,000 calories through your diet and nutrition. Wouldn’t you rather do it that way instead of running 7-10 miles a day…JUST to lose 1 pound!?! I’ve read and heard so many times, “I need to start going to the gym more so I can lose this weight.” <Buzzer sound> Wrong! The gym is for cardio, toning and building. A mix of strength and cardiovascular training.
Nourish your insides the proper way and your outsides will begin to blossom! Focusing on the right diet is KEY. And don’t you even think about eating less! Your body will begin to resist the weight loss and will lead to plateauing. What you put inside your body matters WAY more than the way you choose to work it off, and at the end of it all…fitness will help push those plateaus out of the way so you’re able to conquer your goals. #ReadySetMealPrep
