Protein Packed Oats: My favorite pre-workout meal and why...

​​Carbs are always a good idea before a good workout because they give your muscles energy! Oats with added protein powder will give you short and long-term energy to beast through your workouts. More energy = better workout. Better workout = better results. NEVER train on an empty stomach!

Prep your body with my nutty recipe below!

ALL YOU NEED:

  • ½ cup quick oats
  • 1 cup water or unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 scoop pralines n’ cream protein powder
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1.5-2 tbsp peanut butter, melted
  • 1 chocolate coconut protein bar, sliced (optional)
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 5 pcs walnuts, crushed
 
Heat water or milk over medium heat. Add oats and cook for 3 minutes until it starts to thicken. Add your protein powder and honey, mix until well combined.

​Top with sliced protein bar, melted peanut butter, blueberries, and walnuts.

Note: The peanut butter will give you extra protein and potassium while the blueberries add vitamins and antioxidants!
